hongyuan.store is an independent shop guide to Hongyuan fruit hard candy: flavors, pack sizes, label facts and buyer reviews.

The candy factory behind the name

Hongyuan is the candy brand of Guangdong Hongyuan Foods Co., Ltd, a factory in Anbu, a town in Chaozhou in the south of China. Its company profile dates the business to 1994 and describes one trade: developing, making and selling candy.

In the United States the brand means one thing first, the green guava hard candy that Asian restaurants hand out with the check. American buyers get the same 350 g bags the factory sells at home. An importer adds an English label to the back.

  • 番石榴Guava. The bag adds 果味糖 (fruit-flavored candy) or 夹心糖, depending on the print run.
  • DakeyiThe series name on the lychee, peach, pineapple and green apple bags.
  • 陳皮糖Chenpi candy: the tangerine peel bag.

What the public record says

The U.S. trademark office, the USPTO, registered the two-character mark to the company on September 30, 2025, for sweets and other class 30 goods. The filing rests on a Chinese registration from December 28, 2009.

It was not the first try. In 2012 the firm, then called Chaoan Hongyuan Food Co., Ltd., applied for the word HONGYUAN with the characters in red and gave August 1, 2006 as the date the candy first sold in U.S. commerce. That application lapsed in 2014. A New York company, Starway Inc., held the word HONGYUAN for candy from 2011 until its registration was cancelled in 2018.

The company's own profile adds two dates. It opened in 1994 as Chao'an County Hongyuan Food Co., Ltd., and took its present name in 2013. One bag still shows the change: the pineapple bag in the current trio prints the older company name in Chinese.
